A new artwork by painter Ivars Heinrihsons has been added to the online auction platform Art Platz Auction. The artist is one of the most prominent representatives of neo-expressionism in the Latvian contemporary art scene. The horse motif frequently appearing in Heinrihsons’ works is a universal and multi-layered symbol, embodying humanity’s primal nature, spirit, strength, and intellect. It becomes a metaphor for freedom and movement, vividly represented in artist’s works. The dynamic and impulsive painting “Restraining the Horse” (Lot 2024/0321) is now open for online bidding.
