1997, oil on canvas, 80x100 cm (with frame 82,5x100,2x3,5 cm) /// The work of art by Valdis Bušs (1924-2014) created in the second half of the 1990s. With the original and colourful expression is depicted a view of a small village. The composition dominates blue, green, and yellow. Architectural forms and details are modelled by individual multi-coloured areas, creating a mosaic-like pattern. Atypically to the artist’s individual manner, a relatively smooth surface texture of the painting has been created. /// The artist's signature and date are on the lower right side of the painting.
