He has created several series and exhibitions of decoupage works. The collection of works created using the decoupage technique was also a part of the author’s solo exhibition “Apocalypse” (2023/2024, gallery “Art Platz”, Riga, Latvia). Dmitry Lavrentiev’s artworks are characterized by intense visual expression, title and message. The definition of Homo Ludens (man the player) views human existence, cultural space and activity as play. The author of the theory is the 20th-century Dutch cultural researcher Johan Huizing. The Homo Ludens motif is widely used in art, especially performance art. The artist’s signature and date are on the lower right.
