His works are in the collections of Latvian art museums, the Swedbank Contemporary Art Collection in Riga, Latvia, and the Dahlmann-Roth private collection in Brussels, Belgium. Beginning his active career as an artist in the 1970s, Valdis Bušs brought a fresh perspective to traditional landscape painting in Latvia. His 1975 work, “Street in Sloka”, captures the essence of its time, depicting the place, atmosphere, streets, and wooden houses. Valdis Bušs’ talent is to portray everyday moments with a new vision of light and colour.
