Art Platz Auction Highlights for the December selection presents works inspired by the mood of winter. Here, winter is revealed both as a landscape and as a sensation. The auction features two works dedicated to winter: the painting “Winter” by the classic artist Kārlis Dobrājs (Lot 2023/0248), which embodies a vision of a rural winter landscape, and the still life “Pine Branches. Winter” by the contemporary artist Kārlis Siliņš (Lot 2025/0338), in which the presence of winter emerges through the interplay of detail and atmosphere.
