Art Platz Auction Highlights for September feature two works by Jānis Pauļuks, revealing two distinct moods through the artist’s expressive style. Both works reflect Pauļuks’ characteristic freedom of form, expressive brushwork and vivid colour palette. The autumn landscape is rich and intense, with dark greens, yellows and reds meeting in loose, dynamic brushstrokes. The seascape, meanwhile, stands out with bright red and yellow sails against dark, undulating waters, creating a strong sense of movement and energy. Both landscapes “Autumn Mood in the Forest” (Lot 2021/0030) and “Improvisation with Sails” (Lot 2026/0368) are now available for online bidding.
